Job Description
The Catering Operations Supervisor supports all aspects of catering solutions and special events at the Seattle Convention Center. This position will support the Catering Management team to complete events or catering delivery requests in line with customer expectations and service standards. This is a development role where the person in position will be trained to complete the below job responsibilities as they gain experience.
Long Description
COMPENSATION: The Hourly rate for this position is $27.00 to $32.50. If both numbers are the same, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer. This is Aramark?s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

Job Responsibilities
Develops and maintains effective client and customer rapport
Delivers consistent quality in planning and carrying out events
Facilitates the delivery of prepared food and set up of events crafted from banquet event orders
Provides coordination and administrative assistance to the Event Management team for work order entry and onsite support of large-scale events
Coordinates and executes assigned small banquet, regional, local, and internal events
Prepare diagrams, agendas, staffing schedules, signage plans and similar documentation for events
Indirect supervision of union staff to ensure catering and event standards are followed ensuring quality in final presentation
Develops an understanding of capturing and recording on-site billing and all paperwork associated
Supports the delivery of food and labor targets
Supports execution of catering events of varied size and scope including staffing and management
Maintains accurate reporting of all inventory records, catering related revenue, expenses, and receivables
Day to day supervision of union team members may include training and scheduling support to ensure completion of planned services
Ensures compliance with all food, occupational, and environmental safety policies
Performs miscellaneous related duties as directed by the Director of Operations

Qualifications
Prior experience in a management or supervisory role preferred
Previous experience in events, hospitality and catering preferred
Strong digital literacy is required of Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc) Internet, typing, other databases and spreadsheet software. Strong ability to learn and navigate computer systems
Excellent teamwork, problem solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Requires ability to successfully work with a high degree of flexibility and patience; as well as the ability to work closely with staff throughout the facility while maintaining a productive, team-oriented relationship
Available to work as needed to accomplish department responsibilities, including possibly working extended hours in a day, anytime of day/night, weekends and holidays.
Ability to adapt to a dynamic, event-based environment
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong attention to detail
Complete Washington State Food Handlers and Alcohol Service Certifications as required
Requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lb.
Ability to stand for extended periods of time
