What You’ll Be Doing:

As a member of the Commodities team, you’ll work in a fast-paced organization where you’ll make a meaningful difference in our clients’ lives. As an Associate, you’ll contribute to the trading desk’s operations and assist in trading and managing risk positions.

How You’ll Succeed:

+ Communicate trade ideas and hedging solutions to the sales desk to support the client franchise

+ Effectively quote clients and manage commodities market risk

+ Work with various stakeholders in middle and back office to ensure best practices

+ Utilize Python, VBA, and similar programming languages to develop trading strategies, automate processes, and perform analysis

Who You Are:

+ **You have a successful record managing risk in the commodities markets.** You have at least two years of experience trading in commodities markets and can articulate your trading strategies.

+ **You have a degree/diploma in a quantitative discipline.** You are comfortable with numbers and have strong analytical skills.

+ **You can demonstrate experience in Excel and at least one programming language.**

At CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary range of $150,000-$200,000 for the New York, NY market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which also may include a discretionary bonus component. CIBC offers a full range of benefits and programs to meet our employee’s needs; including Medical, Dental, Vision, Health Savings Account, Life Insurance, Disability, and Other Insurance Plans, Paid Time Off (including Sick Leave, Parental Leave, and Vacation), Holidays, and 401(k), in addition to other special perks reserved for our team members.

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location. Additional total compensation and benefits details will be provided during the hiring process.
