Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce seeks an Associate, Financial Reporting to gather and consolidate financial data and perform variance analysis. Prepare daily, monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports. Draft journal entries, financial statements, and footnotes. Provide analytical support for annual audits to ensure compliance with US GAAP requirements. Research financial statement disclosure requirements, create footnote disclosure schedules, and aggregate financial data. Prepare, analyze, and communicate with external auditors on audit backup information. Review intercompany transactions and elimination entries in conjunction with monthly closings. Implement consolidation reporting tools to support production of US GAAP financials and footnotes. #LI-DNI
Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a closely related field, followed by 5 years of progressively responsible experience in financial reporting. Experience must include at minimum: 5 years of experience with financial data analysis; 2 years of experience with financial products including equities, derivatives, repurchase agreements, reverse repurchase agreements, and funding and liquidity management; 2 years of experience with SAP, PeopleSoft, Bloomberg, Broadridge, ADP, and Trade Order Management Solutions (TOMS); and 2 years of experience with reviewing and preparing US GAAP audited financial statements and reports. Part-time telecommuting permitted.
