Job Description
TREC Specialist provides administrative support for the TREC program. Under general supervision, this position compiles, reviews and maintains a variety of fiscal and program records, written materials and reports using multiple procedures, typing, computer and technical program knowledge. Moreover, TREC Specialist maintains special databases, mailing lists and manuals, writes general correspondence, provides technical advice to other office staff, and processes applications, registration, and file financial aid documentation.
Minimum Qualifications
+ Knowledge of word processing software, such as Microsoft Office.
+ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including listening, speaking, writing and the ability to deal tactfully with diverse populations in a positive, courteous, and helpful manner.
+ Skills in public speaking and group presentation.
+ Experience in data entry in order to maintain and update database records in a timely manner.
+ Strong problem-solving skills sufficient to identify and clarify problems or issues, to prepare and execute possible solutions under the direction of a supervisor.
+ Demonstrates an ongoing understanding of cultural fluency. Incorporates culturally responsive practices, and actively engages in antiracism professional development learning opportunities.

Current and former employees must be in good standing with Minneapolis College to be considered for the position.
Work Shift
Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Telework
This position may be eligible for partial telework per the Minneapolis College's Telework Guidelines.
Pay Range
Office and Administrative Specialist, Intermediate: $20.45 – $27.12 hourly / $42,700 – $56,627 annually.
