    Overview

    **Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital** proudly serves the health care needs of families in St. Charles, Lincoln and Warren counties. The 102-bed community hospital provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services including the Siteman Cancer Center at Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital, the Breast Health and Women’s Center, the Cardiology Center, the Neurosurgery Center and the Outpatient Surgery and Endoscopy Center.

     

    Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital is an Accredited Chest Pain Center and carries a Level II stroke certification. Additionally, the hospital’s medical office building houses offices for specialists in primary care, cardiology, obstetrics, dermatology, surgery and pulmonology. Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital also offers outpatient services including physical therapy, a sleep lab, and cardio-pulmonary rehabilitation.

    Preferred Qualifications

    Role Purpose

     

    Performs diagnostic imaging procedures in at least one advanced imaging modality (defined as MRI,CT, IVR, Mammography, Bone Density, Cardiac Catherization) on adults and/or pediatric patients for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment, and quality control.. Assists staff technologist in prioritizing and problem solving patient care or imaging issues, and serves as a resource person. Delegates tasks to ensure proper daily operations. Assumes responsibilities of supervisor in their absence. Assists in the development and training of students and/or new employees. Provides continuing mentorship to adv. mod tech, adv. mod senior tech, and Adv. Mod CI.

    Responsibilities

    + Prepares patient and equipment for procedures.

    + Performs studies independently, in on-call situations, portable exams, and other site as required by work area.

    + Oversees shift operations to include daily workflow, assignments, lunch schedules, and adjusts priorities and assignments to best meet department needs. Enters/escalates IT and equipment tickets.

    + Serves as the clinical resource and expert for the technologists. Their responsibilities include but are not limited to: problem solving, assisting with difficult exams, and mentoring.

    + Serves as the clinical liaison between the team and supervisor. Ensures that proper information is communicated from the team and escalated to the supervisor appropriately. Maintains/orders necessary supplies for department needs.

    Experience

    + 2-5 years

    Supervisor Experience

    + No Experience

    Licenses & Certifications

    + IEMA - Illinois only, excl MRI

    + RTR,CT,MR,M,BD,CI,VI,RCIS,RCES

    Preferred Requirements
