    Role Overview:

    Alameda Health System is hiring! The Vice President of Financial Transformation will be the finance division’s lead architect for enterprise transformational change and value creation. Reporting to the CFO, is a member of the Center for Operational Transformation and owns the financial pieces of the transformation portfolio ensuring every initiative is prioritized, financially modeled, and executed to deliver margin improvements that keep AHS on track with its five-year Financial & Strategic Plan.

     

    **DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS** : NOTE: The following are the duties performed by employees in this classification, however, employees may perform other related duties at an equivalent level. Not all duties listed are necessarily performed by each individual in the classification.

    + Is a member of the Center for Operational Transformation group within a matrix reporting structure to drive systemic change to improve efficiency, patient outcomes and cost-effectiveness. Leveraging data analytics, publishes playbooks, stage-gates, and dashboards to achieve Enterprise Transformation.

    + Creates, implements, manages and coordinates cross-functional projects and tiger teams, managing schedules, resources and risk to deliver on-time, on-budget results.

    + Leads enterprise-wide change campaigns town halls, narrative decks, KPI dashboards to build buy-in and sustain adoption.

    + Maintains a Transformation Benefit Ledger tied to the General Ledger; prepares monthly variance analyses and corrective-action plans. Prepare and presents Transformation Scorecard/Portfolio updates, findings and risks to the CFO/COO, Finance Committee & Board.

    + Leads data-driven, recurring value-hunt/discovery workshops with clinical, supply-chain and shared-service leaders to uncover new cost-saving and margin-expansion opportunities across all service lines.

    + Serves as Strategic-Plan gatekeeper, ensuring every charter advances an AHS Strategic Pillar, True North metric and financial KPI.

    + Partners with IT, HR, Quality and Clinical Leadership on system, process and workforce redesign initiatives, negotiating change where required and ensuring compliance with labor agreements and regulatory requirements impacting transformation activities.

    + Ability to motivate others, use persuasion and diplomacy to achieve behavioral change, consensus and/or cooperation on difficult or divisive issues and influences others to work together toward a common goal.

    + Drives continuous improvement, mentors, coaches and develops transformation leaders and analysts across the enterprise.

    + Manage external consultants and vendor contracts as needed to maximize value and knowledge transfer.

    + Champions a culture of continuous improvement by leveraging Lean Six Sigma tools and advanced analytics including ROI, NPV, payback and risk-adjusted IRR.

    + Bridges financial data into operations and works with leaders within operations to develop plans to improve efficiency.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    Required Education: Master’s in Business, Finance/Accounting, Public Health/Health Administration or related discipline.

     

    Required Experience: 10 + yrs progressive leadership in organizational transformation, incl. enterprise PMO/COE; led large-scale initiatives with ≥ $10+ M impact.

     

    Preferred Experience: Experience with complex data systems such as EPIC/ERP systems.

     

    Required Licenses/Certifications: Lean Management or equivalent.

     

    Preferred Licenses/Certifications: Formal change management certification.
