How you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities)
Working
in a team environment, Simulator Support co-ops design and perform hardware and
software modifications to Delta's fleet of flight training devices/simulators,
ensuring training devices meet FAA requirements, and pilot training needs.
Summary
of responsibilities (not comprehensive of all tasks):
+ Reports to Delta’smanager of simulator engineering.
+ Integrates softwaremodifications into flight training devices/simulators in order to maintaincommonality with Delta’s fleet of aircraft.
+ Designs hardwaremodifications of the training devices per simulator and aircraft manufacturers’service bulletins.
+ Assist withacceptance testing of new flight training devices/simulators, and with theannual FAA requalification of the devices.
+ Practices safetyconscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
+ Working as a Co-op does not guarantee a full-time opportunity upon graduation. This position is intended to provide you with educational, and professional work experience to prepare you for the workforce.
+ This position requires you to work for 3 alternating semesters. You cannot actively take any courses (inclusive of online or in-person) and work as a Co-op at the same time, which may delay your graduation by 1-2 semesters.
+ Students must be able to complete 3 alternating rotations in Atlanta, GA in line with the below schedule:
+ Summer 2026 - 1st rotation
+ Spring 2027 - 2nd rotation
+ Fall 2027 - 3rd rotation
+ Working towards abachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science or related discipline.
+ Experience withsoftware editing, code debugging, and revision control using various computerplatforms and operating systems.
+ Strong technical,analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills, and be capable of handlingmultiple projects simultaneously.
+ Must perform with ahigh level of accuracy.
+ Excellent verbal andwritten skills.
+ Consistentlyprioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
+ Embraces diversepeople, thinking, and styles.
+ Possesses a highschool diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
+ Is at least 18 yearsof age and has authorization to work in the United States.
