Job Description

A client of Insight Global is looking for a Tax Manager to join their team in the Greater Atlanta, GA area. Our client is a practice that has broken away from the traditional CPA firm mold. We have shed the audit side of accounting and are focusing on tax compliance, tax consulting, venture capital, wealth growth, tax strategy, and proactive tax maneuvering. The firm integrates a multi-family office feel into a CPA firm by serving as our clients first point advisors when it comes to clients tax, investment, and business management needs.

We are looking for smart, personable, and hard-working individuals that want to further their career in tax while also gaining exposure to a variety of financial tools, nations top wealth strategies, and detailed business dealings in a variety of industries. This is an opportunity to learn areas that traditional CPA firms cannot offer. Employees will work closely in all aspects with their clients with the intention that they have or gain a well-rounded expertise in preparing returns and consulting for a variety of different clients. Candidates will work closely with the practice director to gain the experience in these different fields.

Responsibilities:

Manager will be responsible for running their own book of business.

Manager will be the final review prior to returns being passed to the director/signer.

Manager will have at least two direct reports that will work on their book and will be responsible for reviewing performance and work product.

Manager will be involved in high level planning and consulting and will be responsible for carrying out the decisions that are made as a result of these meetings.

Manager will lead client meetings and will be responsible for following through on all aspects of services.

Managers will have the autonomy to make client facing decisions once the model and goals are learned, applied, and practiced.

Manager will need to be able to pivot between large groups of clients and have the ability to multi-task efficiently.

Skills and Requirements

Bachelors or Masters Degree in Accounting or related field

8+ years experience with 5+ in public accounting - must have experience in a reviewer role.

Must have experience leading a team, managing client accounts, and consulting with clients.

Software experience required: CCH Axcess and CCH Engagement, or Lacerte

CPA required

High volume tax return experience including pass-through, trust/estate, and individual (others may include high net worth, gift tax, 1040s, S Corps, etc)

Highly motivated to grow in your career and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment

Ability to handle a variety of different projects at once

Adaptable and open-minded, not fearful of change or the unfamiliar

Must be local to the greater Atlanta, GA area and be willing to do office visits at least 1x per week. null
