    About The Role:

    The Sr Product Manager, Data for CBRE’s GWS Insights team acts as a team leader and operational product lead for the GWS Insights data initiatives, with an emphasis on the development and deployment of our semantic layer. This role is crucial for building a secure data base to support reporting and analytics.

     

    The role will be a key contributor to the vision of our data strategy and products, instrumental in planning, creating, and maintaining feature level roadmaps that realize the business priorities, working closely with our engineering partners to guide them on the feasibility of those plans through a detailed understanding of the technical capabilities and needs of those features. The role will be responsible for defining solutions, developing requirements, and working in an agile fashion to ensure we deliver enterprise scale solutions.

     

    The Sr Product Manager, Data plans ahead, implements, and optimizes data and semantic products for client deployment and AI readiness. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data architecture, semantic modeling, and data governance, along with a track record of delivering scalable, client-facing data solutions.

    What You'll Do:

    + Engage closely with product owners and key partners to develop and implement product roadmap for assigned products, ensuring alignment with customer needs and desired business outcomes.

    + Own the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of a scalable, enterprise-wide semantic layer to enable consistent, accurate, and accessible analytics, reporting, and AI applications.

    + Mentor team in optimizing semantic models for client results, ensuring they suit present reporting and upcoming AI integration.

    + Ensure that all data solutions and semantic models are architected with scalability, reliability, and high performance to support growing data volumes and diverse analytic workloads.

    + Engage with customers, partners, and cross-functional teams (including client leads, data engineers, and data scientists) to collect requirements and provide personalized, impactful data solutions.

    + Enable knowledge graph and AI initiatives by ensuring semantic models are structured for easy integration with knowledge graph architectures and are optimized for AI-powered applications (such as AI Chat or NLP).

    + Apply broad knowledge of data management and business drivers to tackle sophisticated operational challenges, improve processes, and deliver value to clients.

    + Assigns tasks, responsibilities, evaluate and mentor staff.

    + Other duties may be assigned.

    + This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but will be responsible for providing formal assistance such as technical guidance, and/or training to coworkers. Leads project teams and/or plan and supervises assignments of employees. Mentors and coaches team members to further develop competencies. Leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with the company's values.

    + Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from a four-year college or university and minimum 6+ years of proven experience in data architecture, data management, analytics, or product management. Proven experience delivering scalable, client-facing data solutions and analytics products required. Deep expertise in semantic modeling and metadata management is crucial. Experience deploying semantic models optimized for analytics and AI initiatives, including integration with knowledge graphs, is preferred.

    + Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information.

    + Experience in data management and analytics, with proficiency in data modeling for the development of semantic models. Requires SQL expertise and a firm understanding of AI data requirements, including the use of knowledge graphs or other technology.

    + Requires basic knowledge of financial and statistical terms and principles. Sophisticated knowledge preferred.

    + Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex data sets. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires advanced analytical and quantitative skills.

    + Sophisticated skills in Microsoft Office Suite Products, particularly Excel. Comfortable working independently and collaboratively.
