Our client, a leader in the automotive industry, is seeking an OEM Automotive Sales Engineer Manager to join their team. As a Sales Engineer Manager, you will be part of the dynamic Corporate Sales Department supporting a talented team of Sales Engineers doing sales support activities on an overseas project. The ideal candidate will have strong relationship management skills, excellent negotiation abilities, and a results-oriented mindset which will align successfully in the organization.
**Job Title:** OEM Automotive Sales Engineer Manager
**Location:** Auburn Hills, MI (Hybrid - 3 days in the office and 2 days remote)
**Pay Range:** $50/hr plus full benefits
What's the Job?
+ Develop in-depth intimacy with customer contacts (Purchasing, Engineering, Programs).
+ Prepare and validate commercial offers to respond promptly to customer requests.
+ Manage a small team of Sales Engineers to ensure on-time and on-profit customer ECRs (Engineering Change Requests) negotiation and to support contract negotiations and changes, Purchase Order (PO) lifecycles and Sales systems integration projects.
+ Support the negotiation of ECRs and claims while proposing continuous improvement ideas in business efficiency and cost reduction.
+ Capitalize on knowledge and share best practices and lessons learned across the organization.
What's Needed?
+ Minimum of 5 years of professional experience with a successful track record in automotive with strong skills in Sales contracts, systems and the purchase order process.
+ Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering.
+ Prior experience with Tier 1 Automotive OEM systems is highly desired along with SAP systems and other Sales systems experience.
+ Project management experience and a sales engineering background in the automotive sector. Experience with the PO lifecycle and heavy contracts experience also required.
+ Valid passport for potential travel to Mexico (1-2 trips may be required).
