Join Our Team as a Maintenance Technician!
**Location:** Residence Inn Charleston Airport
**Department:** Engineering/Maintenance
**Reports To:** Chief Engineer or Maintenance Supervisor
Your Role:
As a **Maintenance Technician** , you’ll be a key part of our team, ensuring our hotel stays safe, functional, and welcoming for all guests and associates. From guest rooms to public spaces to beautiful landscaped grounds, you’ll take pride in keeping everything running smoothly and looking great.

What You’ll Do:
+ Perform scheduled preventative maintenance tasks (like “room care”)
+ Respond quickly to guest and team member maintenance requests
+ Troubleshoot and make basic repairs to electrical systems, HVAC, lighting, and appliances
+ Maintain and service pool equipment and chemical balance
+ Repair or refinish furniture, fixtures, doors, and cabinets
+ Maintain grounds and landscaping, including seasonal tasks like snow removal or leaf blowing
+ Operate and maintain tools, vehicles, and maintenance equipment
+ Keep the property clean and safe by removing trash from public areas and grounds
+ Follow safety and security procedures, and report any hazards or incidents

You’re a Great Fit If You:
+ Have at least **6 months of maintenance experience** (hotel or apartment maintenance preferred)
+ Have a **high school diploma or equivalent**
+ Hold or are pursuing **HVAC, Electrical, or Plumbing certifications** (preferred, not required)
+ Are comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs and working on your feet for long periods
+ Don’t mind getting your hands dirty and can work weekends, nights, and holidays as needed
+ Bring a positive attitude and enjoy helping others
