QC/Material Handler (2nd Shift starting at $20.80 + shift premium)

Primary Function

2nd shift opportunity: 2:30pm - 10:00pm Monday - Friday

Candidate will be responsible for completing training and performing the following job functions:

Responsibilities

+ Perform visual and dimensional inspections of incoming materials, components, in-process assemblies and finished goods according to established quality standards, specifications and work instructions.

+ Identify and document non-conforming materials or products, initiating corrective action requests as needed.

+ Conduct first-piece, in-process, and final inspections ensuring adherence to quality control plans.

+ Maintain accurate and detailed inspection records, logs and reports.

+ Assist in troubleshooting quality issues and participate in root cause analysis investigations.

+ Pick and stage materials for production orders, ensuring timely delivery to work centers.

+ Accurately record incoming material information and update inventory system (SAP).

+ Safely and efficiently operate forklifts, pallet jacks and other material handling equipment to move, stack and retrieve items.

+ Store materials in designated locations, ensuring proper labeling, organization and accessibility.

+ Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a quality inspection and/or material handling in a manufacturing environment preferred

• Proven experience operating a forklift and other material handling equipment

• Basic computer skills for data entry and record keeping in SAP

• Ability to lift and move heavy objects up to 50lbs regularly

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Education

High School Diploma or GED

Physical Requirements

+ Prolonged periods of sitting/standing and frequent bending and reaching.

+ The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, and with assistance
