    Overview

     

    Presbyterian Homes & Services (PHS) is seeking a Leadership Development Program Manager who will play a critical role in fostering a culture of leadership excellence across the organization.

     

    This position ensures that leaders are equipped with the mindset, skills, and tools necessary to lead with purpose, integrity, and compassion by designing and delivering impactful development experiences rooted in best practices and aligned with the Christian mission of Presbyterian Homes & Services. This role actively supports PHS's commitment to ready and engaged people by creating learning opportunities that empower leaders to grow, serve, and succeed within a value-based framework.

     

    Reporting Structure

     

    The Leadership Development Program Manager reports directly to the Director of Talent Management.

    Responsibilities

    The Leadership Development Program Manager leads the design and execution of PHS’s leadership development strategy to ensure it advances the organization’s mission, cultivates a strong leadership pipeline, and prepares talent to meet current and future workforce demands. This role creates and delivers impactful, learner-centered development experiences, both in-person and virtual, that enhance leader effectiveness, engagement, and readiness for growth. By developing high-quality content, advising senior leaders on succession planning and leadership priorities, and measuring outcomes to drive continuous improvement, the Leadership Development Program Manager serves as a strategic partner in building a culture of strong, values-driven leadership across the organization.

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    + Lead and execute the PHS’s leadership development strategy, ensuring integration with broader talent initiatives and alignment with organizational objectives.

    + Design, develop, deliver and measure leadership development experiences, both in-person and virtual, that measurably increase leader effectiveness, engagement, and readiness for advancement.

    + Develop engaging, learner-centered content materials, including facilitator guides, participant resources, presentations, tools, and job aids to support effective learning transfer. Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leaders and HR partners on leadership pipeline health, succession planning, and prioritized development needs.

    + Lead cross-functional collaboration with HR and business leaders to co-create scalable development solutions that address organization-wide leadership challenges and opportunities.

    + Conduct organization-wide needs assessments using data, analytics, and stakeholder input to identify leadership skill gaps and prioritize development efforts.

    + Integrate leadership development with broader talent processes, such as performance management, succession planning, and competency models, using strategic thinking and data insights.

    + Leverage data and analytics to evaluate the effectiveness of leadership programs and make continuous improvements that enhance organizational performance and culture.

    + Facilitate classroom coaching and provide support to leaders, enabling application of learned strategies to real-world challenges and leadership moments.

    + Mentor junior members of the Learning and Development team to build internal capabilities and ensure sustainability of leadership development efforts.

    + Stay informed on current trends and best practices in leadership development, technology, methodologies and engagement strategies to ensure PHS remains at the forefront of talent innovation.

    Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s degree in organizational development, Human Resources, Business Administration, Education, or related field. Master's degree preferred.

    + Professional certifications in leadership development, coaching, or training (e.g., CPLP, SHRM-SCP) are a plus.

    + Minimum 5-7 years of experience in leadership development, training, or organizational development.

    + Proven track record of designing, developing, implementing, and delivering leadership development programs.

    + Strong facilitation, coaching, and consulting capabilities across leadership levels.

    + Deep knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM).

    + Strong strategic and analytical mindset and problem-solving skills with a focus on measuring training outcomes and business impact.

    + Strong project management skills, excellent communication and facilitation abilities, and proficiency in using Microsoft Teams, e-learning platforms, and tools

    + Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

    + Proficiency in using learning management systems (LMS, Relias preferred) and other training technologies.

    + Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

    + Strong analytical skills to assess training needs and measure program effectiveness.

    + Flexibility to work and for multi-state travel up to 30% of the time.

    + Demonstrated compatibility with PHS’ mission and operating philosophies.

     

    Pay Range

     

    The estimated starting pay range for this role is $80,000 -100,000 per year. This good faith estimate is based upon PHS’s typical starting pay range for this role. Actual pay range depends on many factors including each individual employee’s qualifications and market conditions and is subject to change.

     

    Benefits

    Full-time benefits-eligible employment begins at a minimum of 30 hours per week:
