About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Investment Portfolio Control Consultant to join the Market Risk and Advanced Analytics team within Wealth and Investment Management (WIM). Learn more about the career areas and lines of business at wellsfargojobs.com (https://www.wellsfargojobs.com/career-areas/) .
In this role, you will:
+ Lead or partner with the relevant business group to identify, assess, manage and mitigate current and emerging investment risk
+ Review and analyze portfolio risk
+ Serve as a subject matter expert for measuring and managing investment risk
+ Perform complex activities related to assessing portfolio risk exposures
+ Independently resolve moderately complex issues
+ Lead team to design complex quantitative or analytic models to help monitor and manage investment risk deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of the effectiveness of portfolio asset allocation strategies
+ Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and mid-level managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
+ Potentially lead projects, teams or serve as a mentor for less experienced staff
Required Qualifications:
+ 4+ years of investment portfolio control experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
+ Experience with sell side portfolio risk vendors such as BlackRock Aladdin, MSCI Barra, or others
+ Proven experience with programming languages: Python, SQL, Matlab, R, or VBA.
+ Experience in designing reporting processes and running complex multi-step processes
Job Expectations:
+ Effectively communicate primary drivers of risk and performance
+ Use technology platforms to aggregate, manipulate, and translate data into useful solutions to help drive decision making.
+ Strong communication skills, written and verbal, to collaborate effectively across internal and external teams. Design and compose committee presentations to summarize portfolio risk results to senior stakeholders.
+ Ability to design scalable processes to aligned to enterprise control directives such as Risk Control Self Assessment (RCSA)
+ Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
+ This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship
