About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Director of Data Reporting, Analytics, and Infrastructure to support its Auto division. This strategic leadership role will be responsible for driving the organization’s data strategy, governing data processes, enabling advanced analytics capabilities, and overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable data infrastructure. In this role, you will:
+ Develop and execute a comprehensive data strategy aligned with organizational goals
+ Lead the vision for enterprise-wide data governance, analytics, and reporting initiatives
+ Collaborate with executive leadership to identify opportunities for leveraging data to drive business value
+ Champion data as a product and promote agile delivery of data solutions
+ Lead teams to deliver key data initiatives across the organization (e.g., migration to new platforms or cloud)
+ Oversee the creation and delivery of accurate, timely, and actionable business intelligence reports and dashboards
+ Ensure advanced analytics capabilities, including predictive modeling, statistical analysis, and data visualization
+ Partner with business units to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics
+ Promote a culture of data literacy, self-service analytics, and narrative-driven insights
+ Integrate AI/ML capabilities and real-time analytics where applicable
+ Ensure the scalability, security, and reliability of data infrastructure to support current and future business needs
+ Implement best practices for data quality, integrity, and security
+ Evaluate and integrate new technologies and tools to enhance data capabilities
+ Support global data operations and multi-region compliance requirements
+ Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of data engineers, analysts, and reporting specialists
+ Foster continuous learning and professional development within the team
+ Set clear objectives, monitor performance, and provide regular feedback
+ Promote inclusion and opportunity within the team
+ Establish and enforce data governance policies, standards, and procedures
+ Ensure compliance with relevant data privacy regulations and industry standards (e.g., SEC, FINRA, ERISA)
+ Manage data access controls and audit processes
+ Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to maintain regulatory readiness
Required Qualifications:
+ 8+ years of Data Management, Business Research, Analytics, or Project Management or leadership experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
+ 4+ years of management or leadership experience
Desired Qualifications:
+ 8 + years of progressive experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or data engineering
+ 4 + years in a leadership or management role overseeing data teams and infrastructure
+ Experience leading large-scale data migration and automation platform initiatives, with a strong track record of delivering complex technical transformations in enterprise environments
+ Demonstrated experience leading enterprise-scale data modernization initiatives, including the development and execution of data strategy roadmaps that transform legacy systems into modern, scalable, and cloud-based architectures
+ Experience leading high-performing reporting and business intelligence teams, with a strong focus on delivering accurate, timely, and high-quality insights that support strategic decision-making and operational excellence
+ Deep understanding of data governance, security, and compliance frameworks
+ Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
+ Strategic thinker with a passion for leveraging data to drive business outcomes
+ Experience translating complex data concepts into actionable business insights
+ Outstanding project management and organizational skills
+ Proven expertise in data warehousing, ETL, big data platforms, and cloud-based data solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
+ Strong knowledge of SQL, Python, R, or similar programming languages
+ Experience with BI and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker)
+ Certifications such as PMP, AWS Certified Data Analytics, or CIPP are a plus
+ Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field
Job Expectations:
+ Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
+ This position offers a hybrid work schedule
