    Amazon is seeking a results-driven and forward-thinking Senior Manager of Strategic Projects & Continuous Improvement to lead a global team responsible for driving transformational initiatives across the Engineering organization. This role is ideal for a strategic leader who thrives in complexity, moves fast, and is passionate about scalable solutions that improve how Amazon operates.

     

    You will lead a team that delivers high-impact, cross-functional projects that enhance organizational effectiveness, streamline operations, and enable long-term business growth. In addition to leading critical initiatives, this role is accountable for embedding a culture of continuous improvement by identifying root causes, implementing sustainable solutions, and leveraging data to measure and scale impact.

     

    You’ll work closely with business and technical stakeholders to drive innovation, increase efficiency, and foster operational excellence across the organization.

    Key job responsibilities

    • Lead a portfolio of strategic initiatives that improve organizational performance, efficiency, and scalability.

    • Partner with senior leaders across the organization and other functions to identify and prioritize improvement opportunities with measurable business outcomes.

    • Build and drive a continuous improvement framework that fosters a culture of operational excellence at all levels of the organization.

    • Design and implement process improvement strategies, leveraging Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, or similar methodologies.

    • Oversee change management and stakeholder alignment to ensure successful adoption of new processes, systems, and tools.

    • Provide program governance, clear reporting, and executive-level communications to drive accountability and visibility.

    • Manage and develop a global team of project managers and CI professionals, ensuring clarity of purpose, high performance, and long-term development.

    • Balance hands-on program leadership with strategic oversight to deliver both short-term wins and long-term value.

    About the team

    This role is part of the GES, GESA and cRME organization. Our team exists to scale smarter—enabling operational excellence through innovation, process discipline, and cross-functional collaboration. We are builders and problem solvers, focused on creating repeatable mechanisms that make Amazon more effective, agile, and customer-obsessed.

    Basic Qualifications

    - 7+ years of team management experience

     

    - 10+ years of program or project management experience

     

    - Bachelor's degree

     

    - • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with demonstrated experience using data to drive decisions

     

    - • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, including experience working with VP-level leaders

     

    - • Experience in change management and implementing sustainable operational improvements

    Preferred Qualifications

    - Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization

     

    - • Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher) or similar CI training

     

    - • Experience in global or large-scale business environments, ideally in engineering, operations, or tech-driven organizations

     

    - • Track record of delivering both strategic and tactical results in ambiguous, fast-paced settings

     

    - • Ability to influence without authority and drive alignment across diverse stakeholders
