Description
We’re looking for a platform expert and strategic operator to lead monetization across Wondery’s fastest-growing ad surfaces, starting with YouTube and expanding across Prime Video, TikTok, and Meta. As the Lead for Video & Social Monetization Strategy, you’ll serve as our internal expert on how these platforms work: how inventory is created, how ads are served, and how we turn engagement into revenue.
This is a high-impact, hands-on role rooted in deep fluency in Google Ad Manager (GAM) and YouTube Studio. You will own monetization diagnostics and forecasting, directly influencing pricing strategy, yield management, and how we bring new formats to market across YouTube Partner Sales, embedded sponsorships, and our social ad offerings.
You’ll partner closely with Sales, Ad Operations, Content, and Product to turn analytics into strategy — and help Wondery scale beyond Audio into a true cross-platform, creator-led advertising business.
Key job responsibilities
Inventory & Monetization Strategy
- Develop and maintain pricing and packaging frameworks across YouTube, Meta, TikTok, and Prime Video
- Identify monetization gaps by show/platform and recommend yield-optimizing solutions
- Design cross-platform inventory strategies, balancing baked-in and dynamically inserted ads across platforms
Sales Enablement & Packaging
- Translate platform analytics (GAM, YouTube Studio, Meta Business Manager, etc.) into actionable insights for Sales and Creative Strategy
- Partner with Sales and Marketing to develop go-to-market collateral and advertiser-facing materials for video + social campaigns
- Inform audience, contextual, and format-based bundling strategies for creator-led inventory
Analytics & Forecasting
- Own and improve inventory forecasting models across YouTube, TikTok, Meta, and Prime Video
- Monitor and analyze core monetization KPIs (e.g., fill rate, RPM, CPM, CTR) across all platforms
- Conduct performance retrospectives and postmortems to inform future strategy and optimize ROI
Cross-Functional Partnership
- Partner with Product, Ad Operations, and Content to align monetization goals with platform capabilities and show formats
- Collaborate with Creative Strategy and Sponsorship Sales to design scalable campaign packaging that integrates talent and brand
- Act as internal subject matter expert on monetization strategy for all video and social platforms

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience conducting sophisticated and creative analysis of complex data and translate the results into actionable deliverables, messages, and presentations
- Experience defining, refining and implementing sales processes, procedures and policies or equivalent
- 5+ years of Microsoft Excel experience
- Deep expertise in Google Ad Manager, YouTube Studio Analytics, Meta Business Manager, and/or TikTok Ads Manager
- 5+ years in digital media, ad ops, or sales operations, with experience across video and social platforms
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using Salesforce (or other CRM tool) or BI tools
- Prior experience with YouTube Partner Sales Program (PSP) and branded content monetization
- Familiarity with creator-led sales models across platforms (e.g., embedded ads, shoppable content, social cutdowns)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $120,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $199,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
