Description
Our client is looking for a billing analyst to join their team in the Houston Galleria area. This role is integral to ensuring accurate and timely billing processes while maintaining compliance with client guidelines and firm policies. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, exhibit exceptional attention to detail, and possess strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with attorneys, clients, and internal teams.
Responsibilities:
• Handle the preparation, review, and processing of legal billing using approved systems to ensure accuracy and compliance with client and firm guidelines.
• Address inquiries from attorneys and clients regarding billing discrepancies or issues.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive firm and client information at all times.
• Generate and distribute prebills, finalize invoices, and manage necessary revisions to ensure timely delivery.
• Coordinate with administrative staff to open and close files, ensuring proper documentation and updates within systems like Prolaw and Juris.
• Manage e-billing processes, including setting up matters, submitting invoices, and addressing appeals or inquiries using platforms such as CounselGo and Gemini.
• Create detailed reports, charts, and summaries related to accounts receivable and billing data as requested by clients.
• Monitor outstanding accounts receivable balances and collaborate with attorneys to expedite collections.
• Work closely with third-party vendors to address inquiries, process invoices, and maintain updated records.
• Schedule regular team meetings with attorneys to resolve billing issues and improve workflow processes.
Requirements
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, or a related field.
• Strong analytical skills to prepare detailed reports and resolve billing discrepancies.
• Familiarity with e-billing platforms like CounselGo and Gemini.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
• Excellent organizational skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with clients, attorneys, and internal teams.
• Experience in managing accounts receivable and collections processes.
