    Senior Data Scientist (Machine Learning & Data Architecture)

     

    Hybrid 3 days onsite per week in Los Angeles (San Fernando Valley) required.

     

    $175,000 - $200,000 + discretionary bonus + benefits

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Data Scientist to design and implement cutting-edge solutions involving machine learning and data science methodologies. This opportunity will allow you to work on building the foundation of a robust pricing and inventory system, collaborating closely with senior executives, and guiding the transition to internal capabilities.

     

    + Key Responsibilities:Solution Design: Lead the design phase, ensuring the use of appropriate machine learning and data science methods to address critical business problems. Provide guidance on practical approaches and scalable solutions that integrate seamlessly with current systems.

    + Model Selection: Evaluate and recommend the most suitable machine learning and predictive models for complex pricing and inventory scenarios.

    + Collaboration with Stakeholders: Engage directly with senior executives and consultants to deliver insights and recommendations for data-driven decision-making.

    + Implementation Guidance: Work alongside data scientists and engineers to transition design concepts into actionable systems that drive measurable results.

    + Technology Utilization: Leverage cutting-edge tools and technologies, such as Python, Spark, Hadoop, Databricks, and Azure, while ensuring adaptability for those with AWS experience.

    + Knowledge Sharing: Contribute to building a Center of Excellence focused on machine learning innovation and best practices.

    Requirements

    + Experience: 5+ years of proven success in data science and 10+ years working with data analytics and architecture across industries.

    + Technical Proficiency: Python expertise rated 9/10 or higher, with a strong emphasis on applying machine learning models.

    + Time Series Analysis: Awareness of analysis and forecasting methodologies used across diverse industries is preferred.

    + Tech Stack Exposure: Familiarity with Spark, Hadoop, Databricks, and Azure platforms. Candidates with AWS experience who are willing to learn Azure are encouraged to apply.

    + Intellectual Curiosity: A passion for exploring novel solutions and making strategic recommendations that align with business goals.

    + Leadership: Ability to guide technical teams, collaborate with consultants, and provide high-impact solutions from design to delivery.
