Boeing is looking for a **Materials Management & Transportation Manager** to join our team in **Patuxent River, MD.** This position leads a team of material and property management professionals supporting multiple test activities at the Patuxent River Naval Air Station.

Applicants should have a strong background in material management operations to include hazmat, shipping, receiving, issuing, warehousing, tool room operations and transportation. Additionally, an understanding of FAR government property requirements and Navy processes and procedures is desired.

Position Responsibilities:

+ Manages and integrates employees activities across more than one area in materials management and transportation

+ Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals

+ Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements

+ Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports

+ Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes

+ Manages, develops and motivates employees

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

+ 5+ years of experience supporting Operations, Materials Management and/or Supply Chain functions in a production environment

+ 3+ years of experience managing or leading people or teams

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

+ Strong background related to warehousing activities, operational parts support, tool room processes and government property compliance requirements

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary Pay Range: $107,950 – $146,050

Security Clearance

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim U.S. Secret Clearance Pre-Start and final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
