Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in New Hope, Minnesota. In this role, you will undertake a variety of accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial processes. This position offers a dynamic opportunity to contribute to critical accounting functions in a fast-paced and meticulous services environment.

Responsibilities:

• Balance and submit remittances to ensure accurate financial records.

• Process invoices promptly and efficiently to maintain smooth financial operations.

• Post refunds into the accounting system while adhering to established procedures.

• Deposit cash and physical checks received from posting clerks.

• Enter judgments into the company’s system with precision and attention to detail.

• Issue checks and ensure they are delivered to the appropriate recipients.

• Record commissions and cost reimbursements from clients into the system.

• Transfer firm fee funds to designated locations as required.

• Issue refunds to consumers while maintaining clear and accurate records.

• Correct payment allocations within the system to resolve discrepancies.

Requirements • High school diploma required; accounting education is preferred.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting roles.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.

• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial processes.

• Clear written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• Self-motivated with a proactive approach to responsibilities.
