Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Fort Worth, Texas. This Contract-to-permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the financial operations of a growing organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to managing accounts payable functions.

Responsibilities:

• Manage vendor information and invoices, ensuring timely and accurate preparation and entry.

• Process accounts payable checks and organizational payments with precision and efficiency.

• Set up new jobs, enter purchase orders, and maintain accurate job-related data.

• Allocate expenses such as credit card charges, insurance costs, and payroll expenses to appropriate accounts.

• Review and distribute reports for active and closed projects, as well as perform intercompany reconciliations.

• Provide backup support to the Controller and assist team members as needed.

• Utilize QuickBooks Construction software for accounting tasks and ensure system accuracy.

• Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the optimization of financial workflows. Requirements • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, ensuring high-quality work.

• Excellent verbal communication skills with a detail-oriented and tactful approach.

• Dependable and capable of prioritizing tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• Proficiency in QuickBooks Construction software is preferred but not required.

• Self-motivated with a willingness to tackle new challenges and responsibilities.

• Familiarity with accounting software systems, including ERP and automated clearing house (ACH) processes.

• Knowledge of accounts payable functions, accrual accounting, and financial reporting.

• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and adapt to changing priorities.
