Description We are looking for a highly skilled Payroll Clerk to join our team in Waco, Texas. This Contract-to-Permanent position is ideal for someone who excels in payroll processing, multi-state operations, and maintaining compliance with payroll regulations. The role requires precision, confidentiality, and a proactive attitude to ensure smooth payroll administration.

Responsibilities:

• Process weekly multi-state payroll disbursements, including handling garnishments with accuracy and efficiency.

• Manage employee status changes such as terminations, transfers, and promotions while ensuring accurate record-keeping.

• Prepare and oversee weekly certified payroll reports to meet compliance requirements.

• Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies quickly to maintain trust and accuracy.

• Ensure all payroll processes align with legal and organizational standards.

• Collaborate with team members to improve payroll systems and procedures.

• Perform additional payroll-related tasks as needed to support the department. Requirements • Comprehensive understanding of payroll functions, including preparation, balancing, and internal controls.

• Proven experience managing payroll for multiple locations and remote employees.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate attention to detail in all aspects of the role.

• Strong analytical skills for data-driven decision-making and process improvements.

• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with diverse teams and individuals.

• Exceptional organizational abilities to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other payroll-related software.

• Familiarity with Vista software is preferred, though not required.
