Description We are looking for a skilled and bilingual Legal Assistant to join our team on a contract basis in Miami, Florida. This role involves supporting attorneys and paralegals in litigation matters, including drafting legal documents, managing client files, and assisting with trial preparations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and thrives in a fast-paced team environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide administrative support to attorneys and paralegals, ensuring smooth case management.

• Prepare pleadings, discovery documents, legal correspondence, and other required materials.

• Organize and maintain both physical and electronic filing systems for legal documents.

• File pleadings and other legal submissions using State and Federal court platforms.

• Assist in trial preparations by organizing exhibits and performing other necessary tasks.

• Schedule hearings, conferences, and manage attorney calendars effectively.

• Conduct initial client meetings and open new case files.

• Communicate professionally with clients, medical providers, and insurance companies.

• Draft briefs, closing statements, and other legal documents as required.

• Coordinate witness testimonies for hearings or trials. Requirements

• At least three years of experience as a Legal Assistant or in a similar role.

• Proficiency in electronic court filing systems across multiple counties.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Exceptional organizational abilities and attention to detail.

• Capability to multitask and manage time-sensitive documents in a high-pressure environment.

• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team-oriented setting.

• Fluency in both English and Spanish is required.
