    Description We are looking for a meticulous and organized Data Entry Clerk to join our team in Hawaiian Gardens, California. In this contract position, you will play a vital role in accurately inputting and managing financial data within the OpenGov software system while supporting key budgeting and reporting processes. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong data entry skills and attention to detail to contribute to the operations of a local government organization.

    Responsibilities:

    • Enter and update financial data and budget information into the OpenGov software system with a high degree of accuracy.

    • Review and resolve discrepancies in data to ensure consistency and reliability.

    • Organize and maintain digital files and records related to budget tracking.

    • Conduct regular audits to reconcile system data with source documents.

    • Utilize OpenGov’s dashboard to optimize processes and provide clear data insights.

    • Collaborate with internal teams, including budget analysts and department managers, to ensure financial data meets organizational standards.

    • Respond to inquiries regarding financial data and assist in generating accurate reports.

    • Provide administrative support for budgeting and financial workflows as needed.

    • Uphold confidentiality and manage sensitive budget information in line with company policies. Requirements • Minimum of two years of experience in data entry or administrative roles, preferably in finance or budgeting.

    • Familiarity with OpenGov software or similar budgeting platforms is highly preferred.

    • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.

    • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration.

    • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework or certification in finance, accounting, or business administration is a plus.

    • Ability to work independently and troubleshoot software-related issues.
