Description We are looking for a meticulous and organized Staff Accountant to join our team in Wixom, Michigan. This is a Contract to permanent position, offering an excellent opportunity for growth while contributing to a wide range of accounting and administrative functions. The ideal candidate will excel in managing manual processes, demonstrate proficiency in Sage 50 accounting software, and possess strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

• Process biweekly payroll for employees using Paychex and ensure compliance with payroll policies.

• Administer employee benefits, including insurance and 401(k) contributions, while maintaining accuracy and timeliness.

• Handle vendor invoices manually within Sage 50, ensuring proper entry and management.

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes with precision and efficiency.

• Reconcile accounts and assist in month-end and year-end financial close activities.

• Oversee order entry and fulfillment processes, ensuring all orders are accurately processed and delivered on time.

• Collaborate with various departments to address and resolve order management issues.

• Monitor adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements for accounting procedures.

• Provide financial insights to improve operational efficiency and support decision-making processes.

• Assist with special projects and additional tasks as assigned. Requirements • Demonstrated experience in a Staff Accountant or similar accounting role.

• Proficiency in Sage 50 accounting software is required.

• Familiarity with Paychex payroll system or similar tools is highly preferred.

• Strong knowledge of benefits administration, including insurance and 401(k) programs.

• Skilled in managing invoices and maintaining vendor relationships effectively.

• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to handle manual accounting processes.

• Solid organizational and analytical abilities with a problem-solving mindset.

• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including working with pivot tables.
