Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our growing team in Terrell, Texas. This is an onsite role where you will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and updated.

• Reconcile bank statements with company financial records to identify discrepancies and ensure accurate reporting.

• Prepare detailed financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.

• Create and record journal entries to document accounting transactions.

• Manage state sales tax filings, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.

• Support external audit processes by providing necessary documentation and information.

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations, maintaining adherence to industry best practices.

• Reconcile intercompany accounts and transactions across multiple locations.

• Handle financial administration tasks, such as setting up clients, accounts, and personnel records as needed.

Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting roles, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.

• Multi-state accounting experience is preferred.

• Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
