Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Accountant specializing in external reporting and technical accounting to join our team in Southeastern Wisconsin area. This role focuses on SEC compliance, financial reporting, and the implementation of accounting policies, requiring strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, and internal controls, along with the ability to support management on critical financial matters.

Responsibilities:

+ Compile and review quarterly and annual SEC filings, including Forms 8-K, 10-Q, and 10-K.

+ Conduct thorough accounting research and draft detailed whitepapers for complex financial transactions.

+ Prepare journal entries and reconcile accounts, especially for intricate areas like derivatives, pension accounting, and revenue recognition.

+ Partner with other team members to collaborate to validate data for financial reporting.

+ Develop, maintain, and remediate documentation related to internal controls, ensuring compliance.

+ Facilitate employee training on U.S. GAAP compliance and global accounting standards policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with 4+ years of accounting experience.

• Big 4 public accounting experience required; CPA preferred.

• Expertise in SEC disclosures, U.S. GAAP, and internal controls review/documentation.

• Experience with ERP and Consolidation reporting tools preferred

• Strong communication skills, adept at delivering clear and concise updates for management review.
