Robert Half has a brand new opening for a Manual QA Tester with a reputable client here in Tampa, FL.

Position is a full-time role, HYBRID schedule - 2 days WFH and 3 days at their office (near Raymond James Stadium area).

Compensation is flexible between $65-75K depending on experience.

Job Summary

The Software Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of software products through meticulous testing and validation processes. This role involves designing and executing test plans, identifying defects, and collaborating with development teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality software that meets user requirements and organizational standards.

Key Responsibilities

+ Test Planning and Design: Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on project requirements and specifications.

+ Test Execution: Perform manual testing, including functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing, to identify software defects and ensure product reliability.

+ Defect Management: Document, track, and report software defects using bug-tracking tools, and work with developers to resolve issues.

+ Collaboration: Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure alignment with quality goals.

+ Test Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of test procedures, results, and findings to support quality assurance processes.

+ Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve testing processes and contribute to the development of quality assurance standards.

+ User Experience Validation: Verify that software meets user expectations in terms of usability, performance, and functionality.

+ Compliance: Ensure software adheres to relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices.

Requirements

Technical Skills:

+ 2+ years experience in software quality assurance and manual testing.

+ Proficiency in manual testing techniques and methodologies.

+ Familiarity with defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).

+ Basic understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing frameworks.

Soft Skills:

+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

+ Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

+ Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

+ Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Preferred:

+ Experience with more front end UI/UX testing would be preferred

+ Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies.

+ Certification in quality assurance (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE) is an advantage.
