Description
We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our client's team for a 6 month contract period. This is a 100% REMOTE opportunity. This is a long-term contract position with a focus on financial reporting and operational accounting for a publicly traded organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while adhering to strict deadlines.
Responsibilities:
• Manage month-end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Oversee fixed asset accounting and ensure accurate tracking and reporting of capital projects.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and key performance indicator reports.
• Assist in the preparation and submission of property tax reports and payments.
• Maintain compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley documentation requirements.
• Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy in general ledger accounts.
• Utilize advanced Excel skills to analyze and report financial data.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
• Ensure adherence to organizational accounting procedures and standards.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• Proven experience working in a publicly traded organization is essential.
• Proficiency in advanced Microsoft Excel functions.
• Strong knowledge of SAP
• Familiarity with fixed asset accounting and capital project tracking.
• Demonstrated ability to manage month-end close processes independently.
• Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated and capable of working effectively in a remote environment.
