    We are seeking an experienced Product Owner with 2–5 years of hands-on expertise in ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM). This role will lead the evolution of the client's SPM platform, ensuring alignment with business objectives and successful product delivery. As a key member of the Agile product team, the SPM Product Owner will work closely with stakeholders to define and prioritize requirements, drive end-to-end solution delivery, and champion continuous improvement.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Product Ownership

     

    + Define, maintain, and prioritize the product backlog, refining user stories and acceptance criteria.

    + Drive enhancements across Demand, Resource, Enterprise Agile Platform (EAP), and Waterfall modules.

    + Improve dashboarding and reporting capabilities within the SPM suite.

    + Own the full delivery lifecycle from ideation through deployment and post-launch validation.

    + Ensure all process and system documentation reflects the current state.

    + Lead testing plan execution for bi-annual SPM upgrades.

     

    Stakeholder Engagement

     

    + Collaborate with stakeholders, architects, developers, and Scrum Masters to gather business requirements and translate them into actionable deliverables.

    + Host product demos and incorporate stakeholder feedback into the roadmap.

     

    Technical Oversight

     

    + Serve as a subject matter expert in ServiceNow SPM, including configurations, workflows, and platform customizations.

    + Contribute to solution design and ensure alignment with ServiceNow best practices.

    + Oversee and participate in testing activities including User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

    Requirements

    Qualifications:

    Required Experience

    + 2–5 years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow, focused on Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM).

    + Proven background managing enterprise-scale SPM implementations.

     

    Preferred Certifications

     

    + ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)

    + Certified Implementation Specialist – SPM

    + Agile certifications (e.g., Scrum Master, Product Owner, SAFe Agilist, Kanban System Design)

     

    Technical & Agile Skills

     

    + Deep knowledge of ServiceNow SPM modules (Portfolio, Demand, and Resource Management).

    + Proficiency in Agile methodologies including Scrum, Kanban, and SDLC practices.

    + Familiarity with the Common Service Data Model (CSDM) and data analytics/reporting tools.

     

    Additional Product Owner Competencies

     

    + Translate user and business needs into detailed product requirements.

    + Define and communicate the product vision and roadmap.

    + Monitor product progress and adapt priorities based on feedback and evolving needs.

    + Develop user stories and participate in Agile ceremonies including sprints and stand-ups.

     

    Note: This is a hybrid role requiring on-site presence Monday through Wednesday in Grand Rapids, MI. Local candidates are strongly preferred.
