    Description

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    + Ensuring programmatic compliance with regional and specialized accreditation standards, as appropriate.

    + Ensuring programmatic compliance with institutional policies and procedures.

    + Responsible for leading and overseeing program activities and ensuring attainment of measured outcomes.

    + Coordination and management of the daily operations of the program.

    + Guiding, counseling, and mentoring faculty and staff.

    + Direct and indirect supervisory responsibility for department faculty and staff, including hiring/terminating personnel, assigning workloads/courses, and conducting personnel evaluations related to the specific program.

    + Ensuring quality learning experiences for students.

    + Guiding, counseling, and mentoring students enrolled in the respective Audiology Program.

    + Overseeing the admissions process for online or residential audiology students.

    + Delegation of duties as appropriate.

    + Identification, justification, and allocation of resources and programmatic budgetary needs.

    + Collaborating with administration and other university departments/programs/service areas.

    + Traveling for student and faculty recruitment, as needed.

    Requirements

    + AuD, Ph,D or equivalent doctoral degree in audiology required.

    + Audiology licensure

    + Clinical, academic, and/or supervisory experience in audiology

    + Teaching/instruction experience

    + Budgetary and planning processes

    + Professional communication/interpersonal skills

    + Leadership, good organizational skills, ability to work independently to meet deadlines, treats others with dignity and respect, professional communication skills, ability to inspire others and work in teams, and ability to advocate for resources.

    + To grow and succeed in the director role, the ability to take on new challenges, use innovative technology, and demonstrate a passion for the profession of audiology will be valuable qualities.
