The Professional Development Program (PDP) of the University at Albany's Rockefeller College is seeking a service-minded individual who is committed to performing high-quality work to fill a Training Coordinator (Project Staff Associate) position in PDP's Public Service Workshops Program in Albany, NY.
Description of Duties:
The Training Coordinator (Project Staff Associate) will assist other PDP staff in planning, coordinating, scheduling, and hosting various training programs focused on the professional development needs of New York State (NYS) employees, particularly those in Social Work/Counseling, Healthcare, and/or Law/Criminal Justice occupations. Duties include, but are not limited to:
+ Researching occupational training needs and planning training offerings in cooperation with sponsor, training providers, and other state agencies.
+ Attending planning meetings focused on training offerings.
+ Locating qualified instructors.
+ Planning, coordinating, and scheduling training programs, and reviewing and preparing training materials.
+ Coordinating training related data in Microsoft databases and learning management systems.
+ Other duties as assigned to fulfill contractual obligations.
Job Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree from a college or university accredited by a USDOE or an internationally recognized accrediting organization.
+ Three years' work experience at a professional level, two years of which is at or commensurate with the NYS certified professional level positions in one or more of the following professions: Social Work/Counseling, Healthcare (particularly Nursing related), and/or Law/Criminal Justice, or other equivalent professional occupation. Experience in clerical or administrative support role in these fields does not qualify.
+ Excellent communication skills.
+ Experience writing professional emails, proofreading, and preparing documents.
+ Excellent writing, speaking, and presentation skills.
+ Attention to detail and the ability to manage, prioritize and complete numerous tasks within established deadlines.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
+ Applicants must demonstrate an ability to develop inclusive and equitable relationships within our diverse campus community.

+ Ability to travel on occasion to training sites within NYS that may not be served by public transportation.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Master's degree or higher (e.g. doctoral degree, medical degree, JD) from a college or university accredited by a USDOE or an internationally recognized accrediting organization.
+ Bachelor's degree or higher from a college or university accredited by a USDOE or an internationally recognized accrediting organization in Social Work/Counseling, Healthcare, and/or Law/Criminal Justice field.
+ Experience related specifically to the training of the NYS workforce.
+ At least one year experience conducting, planning, and/or coordinating workforce training for professions in one of the following areas: Social Work/Counseling, Healthcare, Law/Criminal Justice, and/or Labor Management Committee Training.
+ Knowledge of NYS agencies and NYS managerial, professional, scientific, and technical occupations.
+ Experience with database and learning management software.
Additional Information:
Salary Range: $70,000 - $72,870
