Adecco Permanent Recruitment has partnered with a leading manufacturing client to recruit and hire a full time **Accountant** to join their Finance and Accounting Department in Dekalb County, TN.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Oversee and maintain fixed assets across multiple manufacturing facilities
+ Maintain accurate records of all fixed asset transactions, including acquisitions, disposals, and upgrades
+ Determine and maintain tax values of assets for compliance purposes
+ Conduct periodic audits, physical inventories, and reconciliations of fixed assets
+ Ensure compliance with tax regulations, internal controls, and GAAP
+ Prepare fixed asset reports and schedules for audit and management
+ Manage write-offs and impairments of obsolete or retired equipment
+ Calculate and record depreciation expenses for fixed assets.
+ Coordinate with operations and maintenance for asset tracking and validation
+ Assist with annual tax filings and fixed asset schedules
+ Identify and implement process improvements for asset tracking and reporting
+ Monitor Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable, and company purchasing process.
+ Support other general accounting functions as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field highly preferred.
+ 3+ years of experience in fixed asset accounting, preferably in manufacturing
+ Strong knowledge of GAAP and tax depreciation rules
+ Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookups, etc.)
