• Senior Full Stack Java Developer

    The Role:

    Cognizant is seeking an experienced and innovative Senior Full Stack Java Developer to support our global portfolio of clients. The ideal candidate thrives in cross-functional, distributed teams, brings hands-on technical expertise, and proactively drives architectural solutions. You will design, develop, and support enterprise-grade software leveraging modern technologies like Spring Boot, Angular, and Microservices.

    Work Authorization

    • Cognizant will only consider applicants for this position who are legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship (H-1B, L-1B, L-1A, etc.)

    Responsibilities:

    • Design high-level and detailed technical specifications for new features and enhancements

    • Develop backend services using Java and Spring Boot, and frontend components using Angular (v10+)

    • Apply microservice architecture principles in building scalable, modular applications

    • Perform unit testing and maintain test documentation including test plans and logs

    • Partner with Business Analysts, QA Engineers, and cross-functional teams to support functional, regression, and user acceptance testing

    • Facilitate production release planning and provide post-installation support

    • Troubleshoot and resolve application issues across testing and production environments

    • Maintain clear documentation and contribute to production validation strategies

    • Actively participate in Agile ceremonies and promote best practices across development teams

    • Communicate directly with clients to assess work, clarify requirements, and ensure successful delivery

    Must Have Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s Degree

    • At least 5 years of software engineering experience

    • Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, and microservice-based architecture

    • Front-end development experience with Angular (v10 and above)

    • Proficiency in data modeling and analytical problem-solving

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including client engagement capabilities

    • Knowledge of Investment Management and Asset Management systems preferred

    Salary and Other Compensation:

    The annual salary for this position is between 97,000 - 114,000 K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

     

    This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
