**Job Title** : Service Truck Tech

**Location:** Parked at Cincinnati shop (5700 Este Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45232) and will travel to the Erlanger Shop (2825 Crescent Springs Pike, Erlanger, KY 41018) daily.

**Job Schedule** : Friday-Monday (6:00 AM-4:30 PM)

**Compensation** : $28.08/hr. - $35.10/hr.

**Job Summary:** Whether it’s preventative maintenance, repairs, or warranty work, CRST mechanics play a critical role in supporting our drivers and ensuring safety is at the core of all we do. We’ve had the lowest work comp percentages in the last 7 years. With more than 16,000 pieces of equipment, no two days are ever the same! Mechanics at CRST maintain a variety of Cascadia Freightliners, Detroit engines, dry vans, flat beds, and refrigerated trailers.

**Day in the Job Preview** : As a Service Truck Tech, you will be responsible for preventative maintenance and repairs primarily on Class 8 trailers, but also tractors. This role entails conducting roadside repairs and primarily operating within designated CRST yards, located within a 35–50-mile radius of the supporting shop, with zero to minimal supervision.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

+ Coordinate required maintenance and preventative services for fleet tractor-trailers according to DOT 49 CFR 396.

+ Establish daily workload to meet customer requirements and coordinate yard activities for multiple vendors.

+ Act as the main point of contact for ongoing customer management and ensure exceptional customer support for drivers.

+ Enforce shop procedures, oversee work quality, and ensure adherence to maintenance and safety procedures.

+ Provide oversight, direction, feedback, and technical support to drivers and end-users, while assigning work tasks.

+ Communicate status, needs, and continuous updates to the Operations team.

+ Maintain safety, organization, and cleanliness of work areas, equipment, and tools.

+ Focus on continual process improvement.

+ Complete written repair orders, and preventative maintenance inspections, and perform lot checks for equipment condition verification.

+ Safely operate Class 8 vehicles in the yard and service facility.

+ Maintain the maintenance reference manual.

Job Requirements:

+ Successful completion of a CRST background check, MVR, and drug screen is required.

+ High school diploma or GED is preferred.

+ Minimum tool requirement.

+ 3+ years of experience as a Class 8 truck and trailer mechanic is required.

+ Possession of a CDL-B license is preferred.
