Senior Python Software Engineer – Remote.

About the role

As a Senior Python Full Stack Engineer, you will make an impact by designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software applications. With a focus on FAST search API, Flask, Django, and Python, you will contribute to innovative solutions that drive business success. You will be a valued member of the Digital Engineering team and work collaboratively with other stakeholders and teams.

In this role, you will:

+ Design and develop software applications using FAST Search API, Flask, Django, and Python to meet business requirements.

+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyse requirements ensuring alignment with industry standards and best practices.

+ Oversee the implementation of robust and scalable solutions that enhance operational efficiency and drive business growth.

+ Ensure the integration of software solutions with existing systems maintaining seamless functionality and performance.

+ Conduct thorough testing and debugging of applications to ensure high-quality deliverables and minimize defects.

**Work model:** Remote.

What you need to have to be considered:

+ Hold a bachelor's degree in computer science or related and have a minimum of 5 years and a maximum of 8 years of experience in software development with a focus on web applications.

+ Possess a strong proficiency in FAST Search API Flask Django and Python with a proven track record of successful project delivery.

+ Demonstrate expertise in Industry Essentials with the ability to apply domain knowledge to software development projects.

+ Exhibit excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse complex issues and develop effective solutions.

Salary and compensation:

The annual salary for this position will depends on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
