Job Description
General Description
The applicant will serve as the Bronx Telehealth Counseling Center (BTCC) Clinical Director for this grant funded position to ensure program goals, objectives, policies, and requirements are met successfully. BTCC is a practicum site established to provide clinical training for social work and clinical mental health counseling students. Students will rotate through BTCC to gain practicum and clinical hours to progress in their respective programs. The applicant will work under the general supervision of the Principal Investigator for the grant in the Office of the Dean, School of Health Sciences, Human Services, and Nursing, and will have a dotted line reporting to the Chair of the Department of Social Work. This position will coordinate with the program directors in Social Work and Clinical Health Mental Counseling in the School of Education.
The Clinical Director is responsible for providing clinical leadership and policy direction for all BTCC outpatient treatment programs; maintain accepted standards of behavioral and mental health practice; and provide administrative and professional supervision of all staff. Additionally, the Clinical Director is responsible for ensuring oversight in the areas of: licensing regulations, legal and ethical regulations, clinical supervision, and quality assurance.
Other Duties
+ Provide oversight for the Outpatient Clinic and help ensure excellence in service delivery
+ Develop, update, and implement clinical procedures in accordance with OMH
+ Provide individual and group clinical supervision of mental health staff
+ Ensure that clinic meets all contractual goals and funding requirements
+ Assist staff and interns with urgent clinical situations and provide supervisory crisis coverage
+ May provide individual, family therapy as needed
+ Represent the department at meetings with community partners when requested
+ Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
+ Registered Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Clinical Psychologist
+ A minimum of three (3) years of administrative management and clinical supervisory experience at an Outpatient clinic
+ Terminal Degree appropriate to the respective discipline
+ Extensive clinical experience working with individuals, youth, families, groups, and substance abuse
+ Extensive teaching experience in an academic setting
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:
+ Collaborative and team oriented highly valued in an academic setting
+ Demonstrates strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills
+ Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage multiple tasks and meticulous attention to detail
+ Computer literacy required (MS work, MS excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Project)
+ Computer literacy required for the telehealth virtual electronic medical system
