Job Title: Financial ControllerJob Description

We are seeking a dedicated Financial Controller to join our team in a pivotal role, ensuring financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, and supporting long-term business planning. In this role, you will lead a small team, collaborate with leadership, and contribute to shaping our financial strategy.

Responsibilities

+ Oversee all accounting functions including accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger reconciliation.

+ Produce timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

+ Prepare forecasts and financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.

+ Ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory reporting standards.

+ Manage and optimize financial systems, including internal audits and maintaining robust internal controls.

+ Partner with department leads to guide budget adherence and cost-control.

+ Mentor and develop the finance team, setting clear expectations and goals.

Essential Skills

+ Strong hands-on experience in accounting operations, payroll, and receivables.

+ Deep knowledge of GAAP and compliance standards.

+ Skilled in financial analysis, budgeting, and cost controls.

+ Proficient with Sage or similar accounting systems.

+ Highest attention to detail, with the ability to simplify complex financials.

+ Effective communicator who can present financials to non-financial audiences.

+ Team-first mindset with the ability to prioritize and adapt quickly.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ 6 years of construction accounting experience.

+ Experience with Work-in-Progress software.

+ Managerial experience leading a team of three.

+ Self-driven and able to work in high-paced environments.

+ Problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to cost savings.

Work Environment

The Financial Controller will be part of a dynamic team, working in a fast-paced environment. You'll report to a team consisting of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and an accountant. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
