Accounting Manager
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee and manage daily accounting operations across multiple entities. The successful candidate will maintain and reconcile records in QuickBooks Enterprise, oversee cash flow forecasting and reporting, and lead both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes. This role includes supervising collections activities, managing month-end close procedures, and ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. You will handle vendor relationships, invoicing, and issue resolution, as well as prepare and file monthly sales tax returns across applicable jurisdictions. Additional responsibilities include ensuring year-end 1099 reporting and compliance, assisting with audits, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. Leading and mentoring the accounting staff is also a key component of this position.
Responsibilities
+ Manage daily accounting operations across all entities.
+ Maintain and reconcile records in QuickBooks Enterprise.
+ Oversee cash flow forecasting and reporting.
+ Lead Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes.
+ Supervise collections activities and customer account management.
+ Manage month-end close, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
+ Handle vendor relationships, invoicing, and issue resolution.
+ Prepare and file monthly sales tax returns across applicable jurisdictions.
+ Ensure year-end 1099 reporting and compliance.
+ Assist with year-end audits.
+ Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
+ Lead and mentor accounting staff.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
+ 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
+ Strong experience with QuickBooks Enterprise, especially in multi-entity environments.
+ Proficiency in managing AP, AR, collections, and month-end close processes.
+ Experience preparing and filing sales tax returns.
+ Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and compliance requirements.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Accounting or Finance Degree.
+ Full Cycle Accounting (Month End, Journal Entries, Reconciliation).
+ Supervising a team.
+ QuickBooks Enterprise, General ledger, Reconciliation, Journal entry.
+ Accounts payable, Reporting, Financial statement, Balance sheet.
+ Accounts receivable, QuickBooks Pro, QuickBooks Enterprise.
+ Accrual, Bank reconciliation, Fixed asset.
Work Environment
This is a fully in-office role, reporting to the CFO and Controller. The successful candidate will be part of an 8-person team, including roles such as AR, AP, Staff Accountants, Collections, and Controller. You will have 5 direct reports and be responsible for all AP, AR, Collections, and General Ledger functions. The company has 215 employees across 8 different entities, with 4 main operating companies.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
