    Job Title: Quality Technician C ShiftJob Description

     

    We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Technician to join our food manufacturing team. This role is evenly split between laboratory-based Quality Control (QC) testing and on-floor Quality Assurance (QA) food safety activities. The ideal candidate will ensure that all products meet internal and regulatory standards for safety, quality, and consistency.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform routine analytical and microbiological testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.

    + Calibrate and maintain lab equipment in accordance with SOPs.

    + Record and analyze test data, identifying trends or deviations from specifications.

    + Support shelf-life studies and product stability testing.

    + Maintain accurate and organized documentation for audits and traceability.

    + Conduct GMP, sanitation, and food safety inspections on the production floor.

    + Monitor critical control points (CCPs) and ensure compliance with HACCP plans.

    + Investigate and document non-conformances and assist in root cause analysis.

    + Provide real-time feedback to production teams to ensure quality standards are upheld.

    + Participate in internal audits and support external regulatory inspections.

    Essential Skills

    + Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or related field.

    + 1–3 years of experience in a food manufacturing quality role preferred.

    + Familiarity with HACCP, GMP, and food safety regulations (e.g., FDA, USDA).

    + Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

    + Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in chemistry and biology.

    + Willingness to learn and adapt to new quality processes.

    Work Environment

    This role is split between laboratory and production floor environments. It may require standing for extended periods and lifting up to 25 lbs. Use of PPE is required in both lab and production areas. The company is committed to producing Italy's finest chocolate and other ingredients for well-known products, and is willing to train eager and motivated individuals in the Quality Process. Multiple shifts available; this position is for B shift (6:30PM - 6:45AM), with initial training on the first shift Monday through Friday until August.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00/hr.
