    **Work location:** Texas Health Dallas, 8200 Walnut Hill Lane, Dallas, TX 75231

    **Work hours:** Full Time/Nights; (7P-7A) Weekend and holiday requirements

    Emergency Department Highlights:

    • Fast-paced, high-volume department averaging 200 patients per day

    Here’s What You Need:

    • High School Diploma or Equivalent required

    • 3 months paramedic experience or completion of a paramedic internship required

    • EMPT-P – Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic upon hire required or

    • LP – Licensed Paramedic upon hire required

    • ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days of hire required and

    • BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required and

    • PALS – Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 90 days of hire required and

    • CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention training annually within 90 days required and

    • Processes organizational skills to function in a fast-paced environment, positive stills, good verbal and written communication skills, able to perform basic computer skills.

    What You Will Do:

    • Accountability/Basic Human Needs Responds to others' priorities regarding privacy, confidentiality, safety, physical, psychological, cognitive, religious and social needs; incorporates population-specific safety/infection control measures into patient care

    • Performs technical skills that are adapted to reflect the population-specific, developmental and diverse needs of the patient.

    • Provides safe patient care under the delegation of appropriate Physician and competency sign-off. Other duties as appropriately delegated by RN.

    • Communicates and collaborates with all members of the health care team; incorporates and participates in adopted communication tools; promotes a cost-effective team by judicious use of resources; leads by example by giving priority to doing the right thing for patient care.

    • Professional Development – Participates in change; understands, promotes, and values ED evidence-based practices, quality improvement, and/or research, and utilizes them in practice; follows guidelines and recommendations defined by regulatory or professional practice agencies
