Paralegal - Contract Management

Assignment Focus:

System One is partnering with an oil & gas client to hire a Paralegal. The Paralegal will support the Chief Legal Officer in managing, drafting, reviewing, and maintaining a wide range of commercial contracts and legal documents critical to manufacturing operations. The Paralegal should have a strong understanding of contract law, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

Primary Responsibilities

+ Manage company customer, vendor, patent, trademark, and corporate contract files.

+ Assist with renewals of expiring company agreements including drafting extension documents and tracking signature process.

+ Assist in meeting deadlines for internal collection of information related to existing and pending patents and trademarks.

+ Assist in discovery for litigation.

+ Conduct legal research as needed.

+ Assist with various special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

+ Graduate of an accredited paralegal program or a Bachelor’s degree in an ABA-approved program preferred.

+ Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Paralegal.

+ Strong attention to detail and time management skills.

+ Investigative mind and strong research skills.

+ Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, judgment and decision-making skills.

+ Strong verbal and written communication skills.

+ Ability to self-drive and meet deadlines in a timely manner.

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

+ Ability to pass background check and drug screening.
