Medical Assistant

Day shift: 8:00am to 4:30pm/Chattanooga, Tennessee/1 year experience certification Mandatory

Job Description

As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality healthcare. You will be responsible for rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, interviewing patients for medical history, and documenting information in the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system. You will also prep rooms for procedures, assist the provider during patient visits, and ensure rooms are sanitized and restocked between patients.

Responsibilities

+ Room patients and obtain vital signs.

+ Interview patients for medical history and document in EMR.

+ Prep rooms for procedures and assist the provider during patient visits.

+ Restock and sanitize rooms between patients.

+ Manage a patient flow of 80-90 patients per day.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in using Electronic Medical Records (EMR).

+ Experience in triage and primary care settings.

+ Excellent customer service skills.

+ Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification.

+ Associates degree in Medical Assisting with at least 1 year of experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

+ Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment

The work environment is an office setting with operating hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Employees benefit from a comprehensive package including dental, vision, health insurance, and a 401K plan. Team members accrue up to 165 hours of PTO within their first 0-5 years. Onsite childcare is available for full-time employees and can be deducted from payroll.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.00/hr.
