Job Description
As a Manufacturing Engineering Technician, you will be responsible for setting up CNC equipment within the fabrication department, focusing on advanced and historically challenging setups. You will troubleshoot medium to high complexity problems, analyzing information and evaluating results to propose effective immediate and long-term solutions. Additionally, you will train production Set-up Operators to enhance their skills and overall proficiency, while identifying and executing meaningful improvement opportunities with minimal supervision. Your role will include maintaining CNC tooling and preparing tooling for planned production runs, as well as editing machine controller programs and managing file directories for accuracy. A strong understanding of machining principles is essential to select appropriate tooling and establish optimal cutting parameters.
Responsibilities
+ Set up CNC equipment for the fabrication department, focusing on advanced setups.
+ Troubleshoot medium to high complexity problems to propose immediate and long-term solutions.
+ Train production Set-up Operators to improve their skills and proficiency.
+ Identify and execute improvement opportunities with minimal supervision.
+ Maintain CNC tooling and prepare tooling for planned production runs.
+ Edit programs in machine controller language and manage file directories for accuracy.
+ Select proper tooling and establish cutting parameters based on machining principles.
+ Evaluate sequence of machine operations and cutting tools for optimal quality and profitability.
+ Read and edit programs to identify errors and efficiency opportunities.
+ Observe and analyze machining cycles to implement waste and time-saving measures.
+ Derive work instructions or setup sheets for effective communication with the operations team.
+ Manage and prioritize schedule and workload for timely delivery of tasks and projects.
+ Conduct oneself professionally, treating all individuals with respect and positivity.

+ Blueprint reading
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with Gcode programming
Work Environment

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $33.00/hr.
