    Job Title: Senior Manufacturing EngineerJob Description

     

    As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you will be at the forefront of driving continuous improvement in our manufacturing operations. Utilizing advanced Lean Six Sigma methodologies, you will aim to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality. The ideal candidate is a data-driven problem solver with experience in implementing sustainable process improvements within a high-mix, low volume production environment. This role requires expertise in assembly processes involving machined components, injection molded plastics, sheet metal, PCBAs, and wire harnesses.

    Responsibilities

    + Lead process improvement initiatives using Lean Six Sigma tools such as DMAIC, Kaizen, 5S, and Value Stream Mapping.

    + Analyze production processes to identify inefficiencies and recommend solutions to enhance productivity and reduce costs.

    + Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes for both new and existing products.

    + Lead cross-functional teams to resolve production issues, drive root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.

    + Collaborate with quality, design, and supply chain teams to ensure manufacturability and design for excellence (DFx).

    + Implement automation and digital manufacturing technologies where applicable.

    + Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and production staff.

    + Drive improvement of key performance indicators (KPIs) related to process efficiency, scrap rates, downtime, and throughput.

    + Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards.

    + Support capital project planning and execution for new equipment and process changes.

    Essential Skills

    + Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.

    + Minimum of 7+ years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.

    + Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, with Black Belt certification strongly preferred.

    + Proven success in leading continuous improvement projects with measurable results.

    + Strong understanding of statistical analysis and process control (SPC, DOE, PFMEA).

    + Experience with ERP and MES systems; proficiency in CAD and simulation tools.

    + Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in automotive, aerospace, or medical devices industries.

    + Familiarity with regulatory compliance such as FDA, ISO, AS9100, etc.

    + Working knowledge of automation systems, robotics, or smart manufacturing technologies.

    + Knowledge of modern manufacturing practices, including Industry 4.0 technologies.

You will be using cutting-edge technologies, including CAD and simulation tools, and working towards implementing Industry 4.0 practices.     Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
