Job Title: High Voltage and Battery Fabrication Operations Technician

Job Description

Join an innovative team as a Battery Technologist, working actively in a laboratory and pilot line setting to produce development-level battery cells. This hands-on role involves collaboration with scientists and engineers to advance battery technology for next-generation electrified vehicles.

Responsibilities

+ Work collaboratively in a prototype lab with scientists and engineers to make battery cells from raw materials.

+ Operate state-of-the-art production-level battery cell manufacturing equipment through all stages of cell manufacturing.

+ Ensure inventory is in place to conduct development builds.

+ Conduct quality inspections on parts produced.

+ Collaborate with the quality team to ensure a full suite of quality checks are conducted and feedback is provided to the cell build team.

+ Drive continuous improvement of operations and processes.

+ Support the establishment of procedures and documentation of lessons learned.

Essential Skills

+ Experience in prototype or production technician roles.

+ Automotive experience.

+ Cross-functional team collaboration skills.

+ Ability to operate cell manufacturing equipment.

+ Associates degree in a related field.

+ Knowledge of lithium battery and electric vehicle technology.

+ Understanding of high voltage systems.

+ Minimum of 2 years of experience in a related role.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Willingness to be in a hands-on role and learn new equipment operations.

Work Environment

This position requires working on-site 5 days a week in a battery lab and manufacturing environment, engaging with advanced technology and collaborating with a diverse team.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $29.00 - $36.00/hr.
