We Are Seeking
The Town of Gilbert is seeking team-oriented self-starters to fill the position of Detention Facility Supervisor within our Police Department. The individual selected to fill this important position will supervise the operations of the Town's holding facility, the work of assigned staff, and the care and custody of detainees.
Some of the primary duties and responsibilities of the Detention Facility Supervisor include:
+ Supervises subordinate personnel assigned to the temporary holding facility; provides direction and training;
+ Oversees the general care and custody of detainees during detainment, court, transport and/or booking process;
+ Plans, organizes and prepares required reports and documentation for holding facility and court processes;

+ Associate's Degree AND
+ 3 years of experience related to area of assignment; OR
+ An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.

Successful candidates for the position will be required to undergo a thorough criminal justice background investigation to include psychological and polygraph examinations.
This position is an At-Will position and is FLSA Non-Exempt – eligible for overtime compensation.
