    CMM Programmer – PC-DMIS

     

    Schedule: Monday–Friday | Flexible shifts: 5:00am–1:30pm, 6:00am–2:30pm, or 7:00am–3:30pm

     

    Environment: Air-conditioned quality lab and CNC machine shop

     

    Reports to: Quality Manager

    Position Overview

    A precision manufacturing facility is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CMM Programmer with hands-on experience using PC-DMIS software. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in dimensional inspecting, and machining, who thrives in a fast-paced, low-volume/high-mix production environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Program, operate, and optimize CMMs using PC-DMIS to inspect complex machined parts

    + Interpret engineering drawings and GD&T to develop accurate inspection routines

    + Perform first-article, in-process, and final inspections to ensure compliance with specifications

    + Create and maintain CMM fixturing and tooling to improve efficiency and repeatability

    + Conduct 100% dimensional layouts for PPAP submissions

    + Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve measurement discrepancies and implement corrective actions

    + Train and support CMM Operators and other team members on inspection techniques

    + Maintain and calibrate CMM equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability

    + Stay current with advancements in metrology and inspection technologies

    Required Qualifications

    + Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Assurance, or equivalent work experience

    + Proven experience programming CMMs using PC-DMIS for complex geometries

    + Strong knowledge of GD&T and ability to interpret technical drawings

    + Familiarity with CAD software and 3D models

    + Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality

    + Strong communication and collaboration skills

    + Ability to operate multiple CMMs during a shift

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Certification in Metrology, ASQ, or Six Sigma methodologies

    + Experience with laser scanners, optical comparators, or other advanced metrology tools

    + Background in casting and machining environments

    + Knowledge of SPC and data-driven quality control practices

     

    Work Environment

     

    90% of work is performed in a clean, air-conditioned quality lab equipped with multiple CMMs

     

    CNC machine shop environment with multiple departments under one roof

     

    No mandatory overtime; unpaid lunch break included

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $39.00/hr.
