    The Test Automation Engineer will design and deliver test systems for electronic products. This role involves identifying gaps in test coverage and managing the design and delivery of both hardware and software test solutions. The engineer will define test plans for new products and features, collaborating with software, firmware, and hardware design teams. Additionally, responsibilities include executing hands-on testing and rework of PCBA and electrical components, as well as designing and implementing next-generation test automation hardware systems to facilitate fast and repeatable product testing.

    Responsibilities

    + Design and deliver test systems for electronic products.

    + Identify and address gaps in test coverage.

    + Own the design and delivery of hardware and software test solutions.

    + Define and develop test plans for new products and features.

    + Collaborate with software, firmware, and hardware design teams.

    + Perform hands-on testing and rework of PCBA and electrical components.

    + Design and implement next-generation test automation hardware systems.

    Essential Skills

    + Strong Electrical Engineering fundamentals.

    + Experience in schematic capture and PCB layout.

    + Proficiency in circuit design and circuit analysis.

    + Programming and scripting skills, with LabVIEW as the primary tool. Python and C++ are also acceptable.

    + Experience in building automated test stations and using oscilloscopes.

    + Knowledge of requirement management and test plan development.

    + Ability to develop 8+ layer PCBs throughout the product lifecycle.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

    + Experience with Altium is a plus.

    + Experience managing product lifecycle of Test Automation Systems including requirements, design, build, integration, and deployment.

    + Experience in developing test and validation strategies.

    + Experience in developing test automation from component level to system level.

    Work Environment

    This role supports Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) and is part of a Test Engineering team with 65 members. The position involves working on programs such as Roadrunner, Ghost, Anvil, and Fury. The opportunity offers the chance to work on state-of-the-art technology supporting the defense of the U.S., alongside talented and driven engineers across various domains, including mechanical, firmware, and software.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $90.00/hr.
